Electrically Heated 3D-Printed Catalysts for CO₂-to-Solid Carbon Conversion via a Two-Step Thermochemical Process
The rising atmospheric concentration of CO2 has driven extensive research into carbon capture and utilization technologies. In this project, the goa is to experimental study a two-step CO2-to-carbon conversion process, where CO2 is first converted to CO via the reverse water-gas shift (RWGS) reaction using electrical 3D printed catalyst, followed by hydrogenation and the Boudouard reaction to produce solid carbon. Optimizing the process using novel catalysts to control carbon type and enhance carbon yield will be also targeted.
